Lauren Russell is the author of the chapbooks Dream-Clung, Gone (Brooklyn Arts Press, 2012) and The Empty-Handed Messenger (Goodbye Better, 2009).  She holds an M.F.A. from the University of Pittsburgh, where she also taught writing and served as an editor of Hot Metal Bridge. Russell has been awarded the Jay C. and Ruth Halls Poetry Fellowship at The Wisconsin Institute for Creative Writing  for 2014-2015.
